IPL hair removal is the answer. Almost any part of the face and body can be treated. Treatments are fairly quick depending on the area (full legs will take longer) and relatively painless.

 

The IPL is passed over the entire area that is to be treated. The energy is absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft and is carried down to the hair follicle which is destroyed by the heat. Once that hair follicle has been destroyed, it has gone forever but the hairs in the next growth phase will then come through. This is why you need approximately 4 to 6 treatments on each area, possibly more.

 

Clients who may have a hormonal imbalance , (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, POS) will definatly require more treatments but a good reduction is seen. IPL treatments are long lasting, recovery free, less painful than waxing, quick, safe and effective. IPL offers better coverage of body than other treatments. You will need 4 to 6 treatments, a month apart.

 

Be aware that we cannot treat you with a tan because of the melanin activity in the skin (This will draw the energy to the skin as the melanocytes are the target for the IPL) All contraindications are discussed at consultation. You will always be seen by a nurse or an NVQ3 practitioner.
